You can now update the game to Ver. 2.0.0.
Update Details
The latest software version is needed to enjoy the following features:
◯ Offline
・ Up to four players can now play together on the Spirit Board.
After choosing the spirit you want to challenge from the Target List, you can change the number of players via Party → Fighter.
However, if any of those players get knocked out then it counts as a defeat.
・ The following spirits will appear in the Shop:
- Partner Pikachu
- Partner Eevee
- Dice Block
- River Survival
- Golden Dash Mushroom
◯ Online
・ Adjustments have been made to the way Global Smash Power is calculated.
Note: A paid membership to the Nintendo Switch Online service is needed to use this feature.
◯ General
・ The Piranha Plant fighter DLC has been added.
Note: Piranha Plant is also planned for release later as paid downloadable content.
・ You can perform a short hop by pressing two jump buttons at the same time.
・ A bug where knocking out an ally with the Team Attack rule enabled adds to your KO score has been fixed.
・ Game balance adjustments have been made. Please see the official website for details of fixes and changes to fighters.
・ Several issues have been fixed to improve gameplay experience.
Compatibility Issues
・The latest software version is required to enter Online mode.
・Local wireless play is not compatible with Ver. 1.2.1 and earlier. All players who want to fight in local wireless battles need to make sure they have the same software version.
・Replays are not compatible with Ver. 1.2.1 and earlier. If you want to keep your replays, convert them into videos before installing the update. You can do this via Vault → Replays → Replay Data → Convert to Video.
How to Update
1. Highlight the software on the HOME Menu and press the + Button to open the options menu.
2. Select "Software Update", then either "Via the Internet" or "Match Version With Local Users".
